New Perspective

October 9th, 2017

Leaves crunching under little feet, the smell of the crisp fall air, small helping hands cutting apples for pie and warm snuggles by the wood stove before bed; this is what I’m most thankful for, my family and all these special memories made. 🍂💛🦃

October has offered a new perspective on life for me. At the end of last year, I prayed for a phrase or word that would take me into the new year.  I really felt God telling me to “Choose Happy”, so I framed that phrase in my living room and decided that each day I would intentionally choose to be happy about something even when things weren’t going the way I had planned.  Confession: in September I did not choose happy!!

Some of you may think I am being a little hard on myself..I mean I was sick after all, however, I still think that life is all about perspective and how we look at each day no matter what the circumstance.  So here’s to a new month and a new perspective!!! So far October has been amazing and I am so incredibly grateful my husband has been home. We’ve slowed down and spent lots of fun family time together.  Even though September was a little rough, I also learned a lot during that time, so I am eager to share that with you all! Also stay tuned for the goals I’ve set for October! What are you feeling most thankful for right now?! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
